How to Improve Your Relationships & Life by Looking In the Mirror

Everybody welcome back to Unbreakable Success Episode 28. Thank you so much for being here taking some time out of your day to spend some time with me and our guest. As always, I appreciate all of you for being here and supporting the show!

Today we have an amazing guest. Her name is Sheree and I have to give a special thanks to my wife Cathy for introducing her to me.

She’s the best selling author of “What are you bringing to the table?”, and I definitely wanted to have her on the show to share the value that this book provides for you. The book is written as a as a guide for relationships to help us challenge ourselves to take a look at not just what we want to get from our business, professional or romantic relationships, but to honestly reflect on ourselves and recognize what we’re actually bringing to each situation.

Sheree and I are bringing you a great conversation about this and how this topic really spans beyond relationships and is extremely relevant to the success of entrepreneurs and business owners in every aspect of their lives. Because there’s so much that we want to get from our businesses, our marketing efforts, the time we’re spending with our family, friends and children, but often we overlook the ultra-important concept that we need to be taking an introspective look at how WE are showing up in each context. Succeed at the impossible…

Bryan has quickly become one of those people that I’m grateful to know. We share a great conversation here in episode 26 of Unbreakable Success where he was able to succeed in a variety of challenges that seemed impossible at the time. We discuss his ability to lose over 100 pounds, running a marathon, becoming a vegetarian, defeating depression, and supporting his family when he thought he may lose his wife to an illness.

Any one of these challenges might have seemed too much, and with good reason. However, Bryan was able to adopt and take action on a philosophy that completely transformed his outlook on life. That philosophy was the beginning of his Do A Day journey.

One of the most important things I learned about succeeding at his philosophy is that Do A Day is very different from the common “one day at a time” cliche that we’ve all heard before. Bryan is very specific about the fact that Do A Day is a practice of taking intentional action to create a powerful daily outcome, without the burden of the past, or trepidation about an unknown future. The Unbreakable Success Podcast: Episode 25

We’re all constantly going through life changes. What we seldom notice is that all of the changes we make in our business and life really boil down to changes in the stories that we believe about ourselves and our circumstances.

Why?

Because the stories we believe determine the actions we take — and the actions we take (or don’t take) lead to our self-created results.

Your stories are powerful, and you and I have a lot of them. Let’s learn how to leverage this to our advantage by ‘checking in’ on the stories we’ve been telling ourselves… (more…)

Most people, especially us entrepreneurs, are convinced that they need to master motivation in order to succeed. With the absolute best intentions, they often spend a lot of time and money trying to ‘get motivated’, ‘stay motivated, or ‘find their motivation’.

Unfortunately, the treadmill of motivation-chasing is a flawed strategy that can result in in massive frustration instead of massive success.

I do love the feeling of motivation, but today, we’re going to discuss the ONE thing that is predicting our success more than motivation ever will. (more…)

“Welcome back to Unbreakable Success. I am sincerely grateful for you being here. I’m glad we get to spend a few minutes together again. Today, we’re going to jump into the topic of Limiting Beliefs. Now, that’s a phrase that’s often tossed around in many different ways. I want to talk about it today because I don’t think we spend enough time acknowledging some of the characteristics of a limiting belief. Because if we don’t acknowledge some things about them, they may be harder to get rid of. I’m not going to spend a bunch of time describing what a limiting belief is. Obviously in many ways it’s self-explanatory. It’s a belief that limits the actions you’ll take, the quality of life and lifestyle that you’ll be able to achieve. (more…)
